This project was born thanks to the friendship between Thomas Berloffa and Marina Abramovic. Thomas supervised the entire project starting with suggesting to Marina that she try to create an event that would combine art with design to raise funds to finance her nascent Institute.
The idea of involving a great architect and designer such as Daniel Libeskind brought the desired results.
Daniel Libeskind designed a structure suitable for hosting the performers of one of the exercises of the method devised by Marina Abramovic. Thomas Berloffa involved Interni as a media partner and managed to have the prototype of the structure presented in the prestigious setting of the Fuori Salone of the Milan Design Week.
During the exhibition days, the Brera Academy was also involved and its students performed for the public using the installation designed by Daniel Libeskind. The Moroso design company sponsored the construction of the structure.
In the second part of the project, we brought the complete installation to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Geneva. We created an exhibition in which visitors could use the structure to perform the training exercise conceived by Marina Abramovic.
To conclude the project, a fundraising dinner was held with the collaboration of Sotheby’s, during which individual numbered edition stations were also sold.
